On Tuesday, I helped my parents load up the very last of their belongings from the place they had called home for 40 years. Forty years. A house. A garage. A shop. A small farm. Eighty acres. And all the stuff that accumulates when you have enough space to keep it. But of course, it wasn’t just stuff. It was memories. Decisions. Identities. Relationships. A way of life. Things that had been useful once. Things that hadn’t been useful for years. Things that were easy to release and things that required a much harder goodbye. We pulled away with one final truck and trailer full of belongings. And I’ve been thinking about that last load ever since. Because there comes a point when we have to decide. Does this come with me? Do I still want this? Is this worth the space it occupies? Am I keeping this because I love it, need it or choose it? Or simply because I haven’t decided to let it go? And I don’t think this applies only to our stuff. We carry unfinished projects. Obligations. Habits. Expectations. Old stories. Relationships with our work, our bodies, our money and ourselves that may have made sense once, but perhaps don’t anymore. Sometimes there is weight in the wait. I’ve been thinking about all of this as we move into fall and toward a season that tends to bring MORE. More food. More spending. More gatherings. More traditions. More expectations. More things to do. What if we cleared some space first? That’s what inspired LIGHTER, an 8-week group experiment I’m beginning October 5. We’ll Declutter. Detox. Decondition. And make room for DeLIGHT. But underneath all of it, we’ll be paying attention to something I find even more interesting: Where is my energy going? Not so we can overhaul ourselves. So we can notice. Get curious. Make a few decisions. Try some things. And see what gets lighter. We’ll work together for eight weeks, one project and one energy experiment at a time. You’ll also receive the digital version of my Energize Your Life tracker as a companion for the experiment, because noticing what happens to our energy is part of the work. LIGHTER begins October 5. Doors are open now and close October 2. The investment is $222. Come join LIGHTER: https://she-force.kit.com/products/lighter And whether you join us or not, here’s something you might consider this week: What are you carrying simply because you haven’t decided to put it down? Maybe you don’t have to answer it immediately. Just notice what comes up. Love, Aimee |

Hello friends, Something interesting happened during our first LIGHTER gathering this week. We started talking about the words we use to describe the things that weigh us down. Not just the typical- Junk. Junk food. Junk thoughts. Also the hidden meanings in everyday words. And we discovered that although we all get the meaning, not all words resonate the same with everyone. Which got me thinking about how quickly we can turn something that’s meant to help us into another thing we think we’re...
Hello, October. If you’ve been here for a while, you know I love the first day of a new month. A blank page. A little threshold. An invitation to notice where we are and decide how we’d like to meet what’s next. But I’ve been thinking that our fresh starts don’t always have to begin by adding something. A new goal. A new habit. A new plan. Something else to accomplish. Sometimes a fresh start begins by putting something down. So before you decide what October needs from you, here are a few...
Here in Montana, there are signs everywhere that the season is changing. The light is different. The mornings are cooler. Gardens are giving up the last of what they’ve been growing. Leaves are beginning their turn. And next week, we arrive at the autumn equinox, that beautiful threshold between seasons. I’ve been thinking about harvest. We often think of harvest as abundance. Gathering. Bounty. Seeing what has grown from everything we’ve tended. But harvest also requires discernment. What do...
